CPU Explorables
Every computer is built from switches: billions of them, each either on or off. These pages build one up from there, one idea at a time, with circuits you can click, a CPU you can step through cycle by cycle, and programs you write yourself. Everything runs in your browser.
Each page starts from the simplest thing that might work, shows what’s wrong with it, and builds up from there to how it’s really done.
